But I spent all day yesterday thinking about it, with close to 20 unsuccessful guesses (when I was SUPPOSED to be working), and most of the night too (when I was SUPPOSED to be sleeping)!!!!!!!
Anyway, your hint does narrow things down quite a bit. In addition to clarifying what is aging, it rules out my theory that your clue is some kind of a rhebus (ex. band + age = bandage), if rhebus is the right word for it.
And don't tell me you weren't expecting pleas for mercy! You responding within 10 minutes of my post, so I'm sure you have been checking for them...
