I liked "The Hobbit" and the first book of "The Lord of the Rings," but the rest of them sucked, especially after J.R.R. died, and his happy-go-lucky son decided he'd finish his daddy's little project. Ah, well! It's too bad they don't make 'em like "The Hobbit" anymore.....
