03/30/08: "There Will Be Blood" more of a dark comedy near the end. (spoilers)

Seriously, the last 20 minutes are funnier than MEET THE SPARTANS (not hard) and probably any comedy I've seen in the past year. Day Lewis pushes his method acting into sheer camp by the end. He's like a Adam West-era Batman villain that wandered onto the set of The Waltons.

"THE THIRD REVELATION!!!"

"I am a false prophet and God is superstition!"

"I'm drinking your milkshake!" *cue Kelis's hit*

You'd think Plainview would've just given the preacher shitheel the five grand just in the hopes of never seeing the twit again.

The movie itself is somewhat pointless and very overrated. 6/10. Good performances do not equal a great movie.
