If you had acctually paid attention you would have reallized that not only CAN Terrance Mallick tell a story but that he does it so incredibly well that the man deserved the Oscar for "Best Director". The Thin Red Line told a story of true emmotion in a war. There was no guts and glory in this movie because it was an antiwar film. Sorry if you didn't reallize that, but you should have opened your fucking eyes when you were watching the movie.

The Thin Red Line had several underlying themes which were pretty apparent if you didn't have such a thick skull. It showed how the war really destroyed much of the beauty in the Phillapines, and how people turn into animals during a war.

My advice for anyone before seeing this movie is to at least graduate grade school, because it's blatently obvious that Whackyone never did.
