(1) This is a remake. And it is a movie based on a book. It is not original. (2) Nature commentaries and visuals are not original. Ever hear of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom? (3) Boring characters are not original. Examples are numerous. (4) Vietnam era messages in non-Vietnam story are not original. M*A*S*H did that two decades ago.
Binding all of this together is original.
Today's lesson: Originality does not always equal Quality.
