How on Earth did Terrence Malick get a reputation for being so good? He's made 3 movies, two of which stink. Okay, "Badlands" was good, but "Days of Heaven" was a boring stinker. Maybe it looked pretty, but how long can one gaze at fish-mouthed Brooke Adams, retard Richard Gere, and dour Sam Shepard? BORING! Thank God I resisted the artsy-fartsy reviews for Thin Red Line; it sounds like Days of Heaven, only worse.
