the article is about how college students (at least, students here) have a tendency to waste a lot of their time in bars rather than taking advantage of the four years of virtual freedom that we have to explore other options, interests, and activities. basically, i needed to fill space in my section since a bunch of my writers bailed on me last week. but seriously, it bothers me that i go to school in the middle of a pretty decent-sized city and am less than an hour away from the nation's capital, but i could probably count the number of people i know who have voluntarily entered a museum/theater/etc. in the last two years on one hand (well, THAT sentence was convuluted. sorry).
