..i did not like him at all after the first episode..
However, i do think that he evolved into a character that was fairly close to how Paul winds up in the book..
He became more of a brooding, cocky-type, as he gained control of his precognitive powers.... He knew the horrors that the future was bringing, but he also realized that he was powerless to stop it, so rather then try to prevent it, he embraced it...
He had JUST that right edge of borderline-insanity to his character...
I didn't accept him as Paul in the beginning, but by the end i did... I think the Blue-in-Blue made ALL the difference, feature-wise...
