That first day back is pretty bad anyway, and yours was awful.
I almost lost it yesterday when my bosses talked about having a party in our new office two weeks after we move in. I've been working lots of overtime, going pretty much non-stop for end of year stuff, then a couple of big proposals, then finishing tenant build-out of our new office and moving (we move in two weeks), and now a big party???? *we're doing a lot of the tenant work ourselves*
I apparently showed some consternation because my one boss asked what was wrong. I said I wasn't superhuman like he is, and I could just use a little bit of a break, that with the end of year financials, the build-out, and the move, having a party two weeks after we move was not enough time, and I'm tired, sorry. He understood, but will ignore me I'm sure.
