...were relaxing. It was nice to spend an hour doing something brainless and methodical :)
Life got more interesting today. I went to my Children's Lit Class-- which I have been looking forward to since I found out about it in September-- and found out that 1)this prof. has never taught before; 2)she expects us to be writing three to five pages a week on top of daily journal entries (at least a page long each); 3)half of the people in this class are morons.
This was bad enough, but then I went to the bookstore and found out that the books for that class were going to total over $200. That's more than the total for ALL of my other classes put together. Now, we're talking about a writing class here. This concept apparently eluded her, as she has ELEVEN required texts, four of which are children's books that cost $16 each.
It might seem silly, but I can't afford that class-- literally or figuratively.
So that means I have to get up early tomorrow to join the madness that is Drop/Add and try to find a course that will somehow fill a requirement without adding another 40 pages of reading a night.
Meanwhile, though, I get to add a new entry to the "Small World" file... This guy who sits next to me in my theology class is the younger brother of my little sister's Chemistry teacher. Keep in mind that I'm in Baltimore and my sister is in Dallas. I just thought that was funny.
