It was the denominational representative, not my particular pastor, but that's minor. He was addressing the World Council of Churches, though, an organization of Christian churches. The point being that not only is it in some ways hopeless to expect "Christian" nations from warring with the "infidels," but that those same "Christian" nations won't even agree not to go to war against each other!
Which of course brings me to maintaining a cold war military budget and what that implies for our foreign policy, and how we treat other nations, and how the U.S. freely ignores UN protocols that it expect other nations to abide by, and so on and so forth. It's late in the week; I should not get started.
