How is it possible critics generally rated this at three stars or more? I couldn't stop laughing long enough to enjoy it as a drama, yet when Coestner wasn't on screen, it failed as comedy. Mr. Cranky is dead on with the Elmer routine. This movie was almost as funny as Eyes Wide Shut, and almost as boring when it wasn't funny. In the upside down world, where movies are rated higher the more unintentionally comical they are, I give Thirteen Days 3 1/2 stars.
