sOc: What do you mean, an IP address check? Do you work for Mr. Cranky? Or did you just ask him to run an IP check and for some reason he actually gave that information to you? And why would you check on Masked Loser specifically? What kind of marbles did you just let out of the bag? Something did seem a little suspicious about another recent incident involving you, but I'm not going to get into that. And what's with the question in your article subject? What'd I say in THIS thread to make you ask such a question?
But in any case, you know what my blanket answer to all questions about things I've said that apparently offended someone: YOU KNEW I WAS A *CREEP* WHEN YOU MET ME.
Veruca: As I said, she may deny it... Look, I never said you might apply to the stereotypes in Masked Loser's list. First I was just trying to say you seem to think women like monique are far and few between and those who don't care about physical appearances dominate the country. Yeah, they may dominate Crankyland, but most of my female friends like monique (which most of my female friends ARE like monique) don't really use the internet that often so how often do they actually stumble on to Crankyland? I mean, I even gave my female friends the address and they still had no interest. Which is unfortunate, because then you'd hear some interesting discussion to counterbalance all of my "biased" opinions of them (since I quote them so often!).
And secondly, I wasn't insinuating that the stereotypes in Masked Loser's or even monique's posts applied to you-- I very seriously doubt it. But I have trouble believing that there is ANYONE who doesn't take physical characteristics into consideration when choosing dating partners. Tell me, if physical characteristics aren't important to you, then how do you tell the difference between a guy who's "just a good friend" and a guy who is a romantic interest?
And I don't know that you're all that un-shallow as you're making yourself out to be. Are you telling me you think Kevin Bacon is "Baconlicious" (your term, I believe) because he has a great personality? Considering what movie it was we were discussing, perhaps you're not so far removed from # 4 on Masked Loser's list yourself. (You've also made quite a few remarks about the physical characteristics of Ty Diggs and a few others if I'm not mistaken.)
I only said it was an overreaction because you seemed to be taking his list (which is, as I said, obviously bogus) so seriously that you were "scared" by it. I didn't mean for you to think your opinion didn't mean anything. Sorry.
