I assume you mean master Terry Gilliam's flick, and not the country where I lived in the early 80s. Anyway, I think it is great. ***1/2. Hard to watch more than once though. But it is the greatest spoof on bureacracy ever (which the Coens ripped off for "The Hudsucker Proxy") and has a great visual style, where you don't know what you are watching at times, until you realize what it is and laugh. I also enjoy the very dark aspects of the film and the other social criticisms, and the whole message of how only dreams set you free...
You know, tonight at a theatre in Austin they are showing the director's cut of "Brazil", which supposedly has a few missing key scenes. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. Oh well... It will be the second big movie event I miss in Austin this week, as in the same theatre, tomorrow Friday Bruce Campbell is going to host a presentation of the entire "Evil Dead" trilogy. Unfortunately, tickets sold out an hour after they went on sale, 3 weeks ago...
