1) what's your favorite movie theme song?
MASH; Live & Let Die; Young at Heart; 76 Trombones from The Music Man; of course, Shaft
For Broadway musicals (not yet, thank heavens, made into a film) - All That Jazz from Chicago

The theme song from Angel. Though Welcome Back Kotter was a good answer.
3) do you have a personal theme song?
Several - Take the Long Way Home by Supertramp; Already Gone by the Eagles; Love in an Elevator by Aerosmith; and there's one by Pearl Jam that I never knew the name of, but it was me to a T
4) if you could have a band write a theme song for your favorite book, what band would you choose? what would the title be?
My favorite book is The Big Sleep. It would have to be something darkly 40's-ish, or just dark. Good question.
5) when you think of any crankizens, do theme songs for them come to mind?
not really, but it's an interesting thought.
