So because of a science fiction novel that physicists generally agree with, you're declaring that time travel is definitely possible? There's an infinity of difference between theory and fact. A lot of very smart people used to think that stars were held up by glass spheres and if you sailed far enough you'd fall off the edge of the world. Those theories have exactly as much weight as Carl Sagan's.
