Both the acting and the directing of this movie were outstanding. As for Mr. Cranky's comment about Sandra Bullock..... well he answered his own question: Grissom's books sell millions of copies and those that say his work is "doo doo" are just jealous, including Mr. Cranky. When the public likes something as much as both the book and the movie, the critics are just simply out of touch with reality.
