Thanks for the input. My PC at home is a remanufactured Gateway. I've had it for five years with zero problems and it can handle practically anything I throw at it.
I want this laptop primarily for really basic things, like grading student papers in the 2-hour interim between my classes. (As a lowly part-time teacher I get no fancy office!) For that I just need Word, maybe Excel. Actually, it could probably replace my home computer. Though I would miss the 21" monitor. : )
