As for her taking it lightly herself, sometimes personal agony is so great that the only thing to do IS to laugh, or otherwise treat it lightly, or the emotion will overwhelm you.

Being calling a twat and an asshole are two different things.
For one thing, everyone has an asshole and not everyone has a "twat" therefore making the latter a sexual insult. Also, the point is not that Molly wasn't offended by being called a twat being as she is a big girl and all, but it's that being insulted sexually and racially aren't all that far apart - even first graders know that.
Sorry to interrupt - wouldn't want Wulfgar to chastise me too.

Technomage, I didn't and don't write Wulfgar's material, nor does he write mine. Moreover, I already conceded error re Monty Python, but I pointed out as well that the context in which the word appeared in their routines -- as in your other examples -- leaves no doubt of their intent to satirize bigotry. As for the use of that kind of language that I was complaining about -- not so much. I hope this post clarifies matters.
