Since people like Molly and Technomage are extremely capable of defending themselves. I was expressing my overall disdain for the uncalled for and repellent remarks made by...let me say it AGAIN....the unapologetic one - Wulfgar, who seems utterly incapable of understanding that this is not about taking sides. That he remains so stubbornly unapologetic, when several others (Molly, Techno and Isotope) have expressed apologies, is incredulous to me. Well, actually, I'm not entirely incredulous, I've seen this schtick before.
Apparently Wulfgar is more interested in *predicting* who will come into a given thread and what they will say, rather than owning up to his repellant remarks and <GASP> admitting that he made a mistake. The ensuing machismo bullshit posts (further denigrating various posters, ESPECIALLY those *ignoramus* youngins) serves only to reinforce people's perception that Wulfgar truly thinks that he is a big BAD dude who is NOT to be messed with. Puhleeeeeeeze.
Of course, I've been accused before (as have many other Crankylanders) of missing the *irony* of his remarks, some sort of *doublespeak* that apparently is lost on everyone but Wulf.
Richard, I appreciate your reasoned input on the subject, and BTW, I know it isn't easy to express dismay towards a friend. Perhaps your voice of reason will make some sort of impact on Wulfgar's reasoning skills. I sure as hell hope so.

Actually, mendo has specifically stated his lust for various underage (as in: younger than 18) actresses. Natalie Portman was one of these (yes, I know she's 18 now, but mendo posted on his sexual fantasies of her well before her recent birthday). There have been others, ranging from age 15+. Natalie's the only that sticks in my mind right now, mainly because the the fanatical slobbering mendo and various other Crankyland sickos have devoted to her.

First of all, I wasn't upset with Molly's post in the first place. We had a lovely talk this afternoon.
I first posted in this mess only because I noticed that Ivan had come back. It was only a few posts before or after, don't remember which now (way too late) that I came across Isotope's post. I hadn't even seen Molly's post at that point. What really bothered me was the fact that my name seemed to come out of nowhere as an example. This isn't the first time it's happened either. From one thread a while back, I've become the posterchild if you will for pancakes. Not exactly flattering.

Well, I apologize if I misinterpreted your defense of mendo, as a condonment of Wulfgar. Frankly I dont blame you for avoiding the issue, as Wulfgar has enough enemies as it is.
In any case, what Wulfgar did was wrong, for a similar reason that what lentil said was wrong. However, lentil's comment was supposed to be a joke, even if in poor taste. He apologized, and I hope that once Wulfgar can do the same thing, we can once again be friends.
