Hi All
I liked this movie because I like a strong lead woman character with some brains and I like a happy ending. I don't like a plane full of screaming idiots, so the script writers have kindly killed them off or locked them in the back early on.
Ray L does a good crazy but sends the movie into the land of B grade when his character gets caught telling porkies and starts making silly faces. Funny, all actors seem to do crazy well.
No there were not too many special effects, but the kareoke bar and the ford truck were special. I liked the Thunderstorm too, funny, you could see it but you couldn't hear it. Also now I know what it would feel like to be the contents of a baby rattle.
There are strong plugs for Jumbos of that particular variety, auto pilots, dunlop tyres (rip through the tops of buildings without so much as a scratch let alone a puncture) and "on speaker" phone systems.
Overall the film did not push the limits for a disaster movie or a suspense movie but that was ok by me, I didn't feel like being scared tonight. I felt like seeing a woman kick butt or chop foot.
