For example, why did it take EIGHT MONTHS for this information to come out? While I'll warrant these disclosures don't paint the corrupt Bush administration in the most favorable light, why haven't they been a little more forthcoming? And further, why wasn't this information made available to Democrats in Congress?
Also, anybody who doesn't think a plane can be used for a weapon apparently is ignorant of Kamikaze pilots in WWII, Tom Clancy novels, or the best-selling potboiler "Storming Heaven," all of which feature planes being piloted as weapons. Besides, a "traditional" hijacking (whatever THAT means -- does the stewardess wear white unless it's after Labor day?) isn't serious enough to protect the population against?
And as for politics, it's been the Repubaboobies who've been saying that it's all Clinton's fault (as if September 11, 2001 was a day Clinton was President); Democrats have simply been asking why this information wasn't and hasn't been available to them or the folks who sit on security committees. Meanwhile, in today's press conference, Ari Fleischer tried to blame Hillary Clinton and Dianne Feinstein (What's the matter, Ari, too afraid to pick on the boys?) for lack of action.
Sorry boys, but you wanted Baby Doc to sit in the Big Chair; this is part and parcel of what goes with that responsibility.
