She goes on for several paragraphs detailing this "third secret", which is like the Book of Revelation and Notrodamus' prophesies is very cryptic and vague. Maybe the prophesies are true, and maybe they aren't, but I think predicting that SOMEBODY would try to assassinate the Pope during the 20th Century is a safe bet. In fact, the same prophesy could have been interpreted to refer to the murder of Archbishop Oscar Romero in El Salvador.
However, the part about Nazi gold being used to help rebuild or maintain the sanctuary IS news, and as a Catholic I'm mortified. His Holiness should order the sanctuary at Fatima to repay the money it received from the buillion sales--with interest--to Holocaust survivors' families or appropriate groups like B'Nai Brith. They're the only ones who should profit from gold stolen from Jews during WWII, NOT a religious shrine, no matter HOW sacred it is considered...
