Oliver Stone was interviewed on television here last night. Defending the violence of "Natural Born Killers," he made the following observation: "Thirty or forty percent of the people who saw the film may not have understood its message, but the other thirty or forty percent certainly did."
(Perhaps the third "thirty or forty percent" were just necking in the back row?)
He also called on the Ancient Greek classics, in his defence of theatrical violence, citing, as an example, "...Medea, who ate her own children ..."
