I like the show because it does break some new ground regarding issues that don't usually get mentioned on TV.
And yes, the show is over-sensationalized, and not very realistic.
Are we really supposed to beleive that in an entire high school, there's only one girl who is obese?
Are we really supposed to believe that in such a large school, there are zero kids with really bad skin broblems?
"What the heck were you thinking when she was performing oral sex on you?" "I wes thinking 'This is my lucky day!'"
"Why do you let him push your black ass so hard?" "Because he just might help me get my black ass into college."
"Are you the one who got my son the job at the morgue? Do you know what its done to him? Thank you!"
There is one character that I especially like, and that's that really old teacher (Lipshultz?) who is always saying things that are politically incorrent.
And now that that other teacher is fired, he can go back to screwing that student as much as he wants.
And regarding what's-her-name who wants to buy a house but can't afford it? Why don't she and her boyfriend get married? They're crazy about each other, and the two of them together could easily afford a house.
Interesting that the mostly white school voted that black teacher #1 on the list of teachers they would most like to sleep with. That is realistic, because in most high schools today, blacks and whites tend to get along quite well with each other.
I like the show. I don't watch it every week, though. And I doubt it will still be holding up well after a few years.
