How (or maybe why is a better question) does Chevy Chase continue making movies? Television, long thought to be a medium of lesser artistic standards than film, booted his scary carcass after six miserable weeks. His film career, however, has lasted 20 years.
Tell me, Cranky, when you gather with the crowned heads of Hollywood, is there anybody who can offer an explanation? Is he mobbed up and thus protected in the corrupt world of theatrical exhibition, able to force frightened theater owners to screen his latest cinematic bile? I don't get it. I don't think he was ever funny.
