It all seems fairly pointless. What is the point of doing a shot-for-shot remake of any film? Because this is a remake of one of the key films in cinematic history, I think people are a little more critical of this then they usually would be. I've heard a rumor that the film will only be a remake of the original up until the shower scene and then surprise audiences by spiralling in a new direction, but I'm not sure I believe this. Anyway, I'll go see the movie. I predict that it will make about 60 million dollars.
