That's a great point, and exactly what I thought as soon as I saw "Full Metal Jacket." I mean it must have shocked audiences when it first came out, but as a child of a more media violent generation, I was "like, Whatever." But what can come next? I mean human carnage is so basic and primative. Maybe soon enough we'll start going to Area's to watch people kill each other like in gladiator days.
