...it's often a catalyst for "radical" change.
It seems, in VERY general terms that popular music works on a 10 year cycle - eg. the prog rock/disco of the late 70s gave way to punk/new wave at the turn of the decade, similarly, the synthesiser 80s (shudder) gave way to English guitar pop and eventually Nirvana/grunge in the early 90s. I'm hoping that this trend continues, because the plastic, souless music that these chicks and their boyband counterparts pump out is just simply shit.
1992 seems like such a long time ago...
