1. $400.00 is way too much for a DVD. You can get a nice one for around $230.00.
2. HDTV is High Definition Television. It is a new TV format where the screen is wider and the picture is sharper. TV stations broadcast in this format, but any TV can view it using a HDTV converter.
3. Don't get DVD unless you have a nice TV. It's not worth the money for the difference you get. If you do, get one with AC3 audio for superior sound when playing movies.
