Get a Life was a great show. I wish it was in syndication so I could catch the reruns! Elliot is one of the funniest, most original comedic actors working today.
And, the beauty of Waiting for Guffman is that the non-talented actors and Corky take themselves so seriously. You laugh at their gross lack of talent right up until the minute the BIG SHOW finally is performed. The odd achievement of this whole satire is that you really, truly, genuinely feel sorry for Corky when he discovers that the man they thought was Guffman really isn't Guffman after all because Guffman never shows up.
