I just saw this for the 3rd time today. As funny as ever. They had no script at all? Wow. Amazing job. Each of 'em brought a lot of depth to character, esp. Catherine O'Hara as the stomped-on wife. When the dude they think is Guffman tells her, "You did a good job," she's shocked at the compliment. More things going on here than surface level yuk-yuks. Can't help but feel for the poor Corkster when the realization sinks in.
This one, along with BOTTLE ROCKET, ends on a somewhat sober note.
