All right, let's ignore the incredibly broad brush that he paints with the word 'liberal' here. Typical name calling.
Obviously, the argument against the embargo is that it political in nature. The argument against free trade is economic and social in nature.
The two aren't equivalent. Never were. The US didn't start the embargo to protect its economic interests, and maintain it for the same reason. If Castro fell tomorrow, the embargo would probably be gone by the end of the year.
Equally obvious is that grundle knows this, and is trying to bait convenor and others into responding. Therefore, this will be my last word on the subject.
I believe that Lucifer, if he ever deigned to respond to you, would call you a twit. The British always did have the best insults.
