indeed, quality of life has been one of the most concerning matters in studyng economy. If you think about it, the way a society organizes itself to direct production into solving social,economic, and all human needs will be positively related to levels of education. The effectiviness of educational systems will be a variable that would constraint higher levels of living conditions. The frontiers of production will be widen up by higher educational standars . At the same time, stimulus to implement free market ways of organization would be a way to absorb many social problems and aid to better distribute income among all members of society.
The fact that GDP does not itself tells us much about living conditions warns us to design better analytical tools to discover thw way this income indicator is being received by all society members.
