04/13/1999: Why do you keep mentioning TRACERT?

For one thing, most hardcore techies think of it as TRACEROUTE - TRACERT is how you would run it from you Run line of a DOS prompt, if you were using a shell account or some other Unix environment you would have to spell it out.

And all TRACEROUTE or TRACERT do is show what hops your packets have to make to route to a particular IP address, it doesn't reveal much of anything as far as useful information about the person whose IP address you are running it on - if you have their IP already, there are much better things you can do to them. PING -S comes to mind if you have access to a fast shell account (like I do). 8^)
