Besides the commercial during the superbowl.. And the COMING SOON poster at my local theatre.. i haven't heard much about "The Mummy".. and usually if you don't hear anything about it.. well i get kind of leary about films like that..
I think it's box office suicide to try to challenge Star Wars.. but i've been wrong before, i could be wrong again (though i am pretty confident this time around)
I dunno, i guess i'm getting sick of remakes and stuff.. Why bother remaking the Mummy when you have a classic take on it the first time around?
I crave something original.. ANYTHING original.. Know what i mean?
I think the movies i'm most excited about this year are "The Blair Witch Project" followed by "Sleepy Hollow".
Tim Burton hasn't failed yet in delivering something i haven't seen before, and TBWP sounds like it could be a landmark in the horror genre..
Can't wait can't wait..
And of course, Star Wars should provide us with Eye-candy the likes of which hasn't been seen since... the first Star Wars..
But i could be wrong.. have been before.. will be again..
Maybe the Mummy will do well.. but i'd say if it does, it'll be on video
