1.) Most over rated movie to win best picture?
There are some early ones that do not withstand the test of time, like "Marty" and "Oliver," but none are as pretentious as "Forrest Gump." Particularly that sequence where he runs for three years! What the fuck! The DiCrapio factor aside, I really liked "Titanic," and "The English Patient," also. And "Midnight Cowboy" was not bested by "True Grit."
2.) Most over rated big grossing movie?
"Men in Black." Visually dazzling, deservedly won its Oscar for Makeup, but I thought it was just plain weird. Runner-up, from the same year: "As Good as it Gets."
3.) Most over rated foreign language movie?
I can't think of one that I haven't liked.
