1.) Most over rated movie to win best picture?
As much as I might like to say "The English Patient" (and "Titanic" and "Forrest Gump" as well), I think for once you people are stuck a bit too much in the present. "Around The World In 80 Days" is absolute junk, "Gigi" is perfect puss and "Oliver" is utter crap. Of course, I hate musicals so I might be a little biased about those last two...
2.) Most over rated big grossing movie?
Either of the "Home Alones." Pretty much every other movie in the top 50 of all time is at least tolerable. Of course, just of this year, I'd have to go with "What Lies Beneath This Pile Of Crap."
3.) Most over rated foreign language movie?
Undoubtedly "Butterfly," which just won a boatload of Goyas despite the fact that it's a MILLION times more flawed than "Crouching Tiger" or any other foreign language film I've ever seen (with the exception of "Horseman on a Rooftop," but that one was panned by critics and audiences alike, so I can't say it was "overrated").
