But, he only 'despises' the types of poor people who refuse to help themselves and depend on the gov't. the type who, even though they pay no income tax whatsoever, still demand tax rebates.
If you're a legal citizen of this country over 18, you should have the right to vote.
It's just that so many people today are so stupid, their votes are swayed by looks (Quayle/Clinton) or dumb perks (free smokes from Gore), or petty issues (gays in military, etc).
