See, grundle-James likes going with hard numbers and statistics, especially when they're irrelevant or when they ignore other factors. He's a real demon for hard numbers in the Kansas City public school system or when he's refuting Paul Ehrlich's pronouncements from 1970.
But when hard numbers present a hard case, as they do in this post:
