I recently saw a TV show with clips from HAPPY DAYS. Whenever you see '70s shows today, the first thing you notice is how cheap they looked by today's standards. Most of the actors seemed to be shouting out their lines as if they were in a stage play. Joanie and Chachi may have been living in the late 50s-early 60s, but their hair practically shouted out, "late 70s-early 80s."
