Steel posts, two strands of barbed wire and three of plain and a roll of 8-90-30 hinge-joint mesh. Strainers and stays of good Aussie hardwood and some of those little ratchet things to tighten the wires (oh, and a decent four-wheel-drive with a towbar to strain the mesh with).
Fencing was mind-numbing work when I was doing it, but at least I was out in the open air getting some exercise. Funny, the things we can be nostalgic about.
