Are you Puerto Rican? I once worked with this little Puerto Rican guy who called everyone pops. I was 25 at the time, but he still called me pops. I think it was because he longed to return to the island, and didn't care to remember the names of the people in his new country.
But, maybe you're just a WASP with Alzheimers. The little Puerto Rican guy was funnier than you.
