04/27/00: Thanks _Knight_, but...

...there were some very intelligent comments posted on this topic on both "sides", artificial though they be. It's very important the people think logically about this type of issue and free exchange of issues is key to that, even if people overly vent emotionality during the exchange. Emotions are powerful motivators and it takes that kind of power to make truly intelligent people evolve their mindsets instead of thrashing out forever with knee jerk responses. Hell, about 15 years ago I would have been considered a screaming liberal on this issue. About 9 years ago I would have been considered a raving conservative on the same topic. Now I defy classification.

I'm now to the point of wanting a net desirable End-Game outcome. I lean towards a Constitutional minimalist stance, in domestic issues, but I just want us as a society to "get over it" and resolve our goddamnmotherfucking divisive issues and MAKE IT FUCKING HAPPEN ALREADY!

FUCKING AY' HUMANS: GET IT STRAIT! Demopublican or Republicrat doesn't matter. They are flip sides of the same corrupt coin! Let's toss the ad hoc SHIT that they keep us distracted with in the toilet and get to the heart of the matter.

I haven’t commented on the whole Cuban thread for a reason: IT DOESN’T FUCKING MATTER! I’ve lived in Communist states and I have more reason than most of you to DESPISE the pricks, but domestically it just doesn’t matter. FUCK IT!

I've deleted the rest of my rampant rant. I know that I've tried this in other venues and it didn't make a damn bit of difference. Some day I hope that reason will win over emotional knee jerks.

History doesn't give me much hope, but I will still try now and then.

Yours in verbosity,

EDE
