I didn't mean that Crankyland became lame BECAUSE I left. I just meant that it HAD become lame over the past 10 months, for whatever reason. It's like you told grundle, Bickle: Just because it's been proven that B follows A doesn't mean A causes B!
Originally I wrote a ton more to this post, with the intent of starting a serious debate (or flame war, whatever) about the current lame status of Crankyland, then I figured, why bother, no one cares. I guess I'll just have to make up "Cranky Wars Episode 2" entirely or rely on the past, because modern Crankyland serves as no inspiration whatsoever. And you'd think with the death of the flame wars that they would at least be replaced by serious movie discussion, but, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. Can't have serious movie discussion in a place where the average poster sees about three movies a year. My analysis of 1999 movies vs. 2000 movies was overrun by Bickle's "I'm restless" post (oh, yeah, Bickle, that was MUCH more substantial than an Emerald-CFL debate about life and death matters). My movie posts here have been so futile that I was bored enough to attempt to start a flame war. Suddenly, my past existence in here is becoming clear again. I'll go back to my own site now.
Crankyland is dead. Long live Crankyland.
