Look, I won't denie that De Palma is a great director. I won't deny that the camera shots and cinematography are great in this movie. The only problem is that the script content and facts are just two complex, confusing, and aren't presented in a comprehendable manner. Every time a new twist came up in the film, I found myself saying, "Wha? Who were they just talking about?" I wanted to go back and try and figure it out, but with other films like the Godfather or Fight club, when I learned something new, I understood exactly what was up. This wasn't the type of film where going back and trying to figure out what was going on seemed worthwhile.
It has the definit makings of a good film, a masterpiece even, but somewhere along the way, things got jumbled and were taken too far.
