John Cusak moves in with this friend of his temporarily. The friend's parents are really strange. Anyway, John and his friend and some of their pals are eating lunch at the friend's house. Mom comes over to the table and asks how everything was. They say "great" and "thanks", etc. She puts a bill down on the table and says, "I'll take that whenever you're ready." All the guys scatter, knowing what she's like, leaving John sitting there to pick up the tab.
Doesn't sound all that funny in writing, but it played great.
