The stations that show syndicated reruns of the show cannot decide which episodes to air; there is a set schedule. Also, some areas of the country get two episodes a night, while others get one. Here in the Bay Area, two "Simpsons" reruns are aired every day of the week, except Saturday. And the new episodes that run on Fox every Sunday get even higher ratings here than in much of the rest of the country.
BTW, I know that some episodes get rerun in syndication much more than others; "Radio Bart," the Timmy O'Toole episode, for example, was, at one point, shown constantly. Rest assured, though, that Season 9 episodes arrive in syndication in a few months.
