There are not many things in this world that can take you that far back. BJ’s Restaurant is one of those places that provides food that satisfies the taste buds, the heart, and the wallet. Here you will find all the info you could ever want on this special restaurant.

Taking You Back To The Old Days

Most good stories start with one man. In this case, BJ’s starts with two. Two men and an exceptional recipe for deep dish pizza are the start of this restaurant. It was in 1976 that the very first BJ’s Restaurant was launched in various cities scattered across Southern California‚Äôs coastline, only back then it was named BJ’s Chicago Pizzeria. It was not until after the opening of seven restaurants by the year 1996 that their brewery began in Brea, California. Handcrafted beer added to the restaurant’s unique style and taste, which customers welcomed eagerly. It was with this addition that the owners decided the time had come for an even bigger change. BJ’s Chicago Pizzeria became BJ’s Restaurant and Brewery and it continued to expand and grow across the United States.

Though their food and beverages stand out amongst others, BJ’s makes it a priority to maintain the proper environment as well. Energetic, family friendly, fun loving, and a faithful support of the communities in which BJ’s is located is all a part of the heart of the restaurant.

The character of the franchise is BJ’s top priority. As stated on their website, “Our genuine commitment is to take pride in passionately connecting with every guest, on every visit, through flawless and relentless execution of every detail during every shift – to create and keep fanatical fans of BJ’s concept and brand.”

This is a restaurant that never just meets the bar, but raises it for others and for themselves.

What Is BJ’s All About Anyways?

Deep dish pizza is a no brainer when it comes to BJ’s. The restaurant started with a great recipe and still holds true to it today. BJ’s Classic Combo is the most popular pizza choice with only three toppings: pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. BJ’s Favorite brings out the big guns with a pizza loaded with oven-baked meatballs, pepperoni, Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, white onions and seasoned tomatoes. The choices are practically endless for anything your taste buds crave.

One of the best noted aspects of BJ’s Restaurant is the brilliant array of choices. The menu is packed full of options that will never leave you disappointed. Appetizers include choices like calamari, artichoke dip, or even egg rolls, the Snacks and Small Bites serve anything from Mac and Cheese to Hawaiian Shrimp Skewers, and the list of sandwiches exceeds any expectation. Specialty salads, soups, burgers, pasta, potatoes; and then you arrive to the entrees or lunch specials, kids menu and desserts.

Available for customers with very specific desires, BJ’s provides both vegetarian as well as gluten-free dishes. Though each item does not have nutritional information, it is prepared with the highest quality ingredients to ensure the highest quality food.

The dessert menu is one of BJ’s favorites. The “Pizookie” is a special dessert that has customers nearly drooling. BJ’s Famous Pizookie is a freshly baked cookie topped with two scoops of vanilla bean ice cream and served in a deep dish. Choices of chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter, or oatmeal raisin walnut may accompany it. It comes in four different styles: the Pizookie Trio is perfect for sharing with friends or family, of course the Famous Pizookie, the Triple Chocolate Pizookie made with Ghirardelli, and finally the Cookies ‘N Cream Pizookie With Oreo. There are other, more classic dessert options, but none seem to compare the BJ’s own creation.

The handcrafted beer that is available at every BJ’s location has won numerous awards from the multiple states. In 2008 alone, their beer was award 9 different titles, and in 2007, 17 awards were won. The public has spoken on which beer is preferred. It is no surprise then that the private brewery of the restaurant makes it their goal to “brew consistently great beer in a variety of ale and larger styles. That’s really what BJ’s beer is all about.” The results are evident in the taste.
